Regional Institute of Education - [RIE], Bhubaneswar Admission 2024: Application Form (Extended), Courses, Fees, Dates, Eligibility Criteria, Selection Process

Admission to 2 year B.Ed. course as well as 4 year integrated B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programs are offered by Regional Institute of Education, Bhubaneswar through the CEE entrance exam scores.

The minimum eligibility criteria for the admission to B.Ed. course needs a candidate to have scored minimum 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree. Those who wish to apply for B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. courses should be pass in 10+2 from arts, commerce or science with at least 50% marks.

Applicants who are pass in Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree program with science or arts with at least 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible to apply for B.A. B.Ed. program.

Key Points:

• Candidates applying for science subjects of B.Ed. program must have at least one group of subjects as given below in qualifying exam:-

For Science:

1. Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics
2. Chemistry, Botany and Zoology

For Arts:

1. English, Hindi, Oriya and Bengali
2. History, Geography, Political Science and Economics

• At the time of admission, weightage will be given to entrance exam as well as to the qualifying examination marks.
• Teaching Aptitude Test is also the criteria for evaluating the ranking at the time of admission.
• Those who have appeared in 2019, 2020 or have appeared or appearing in 2021 are only eligible to apply for B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. courses.
• The entrance test will be of 2 hours and there will be no negative marking.
• Entrance test will have in total 40 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each and 4 short answer type questions carrying 5 marks each.

To apply for M.Ed. course, the minimum qualification is to pass Post Graduation or Under Graduation Degree in subjects like science and arts with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Applicants to M.Ed. program must clear B.Ed. examination with 50% marks in the aggregate or B.Sc. B.Ed. or B.A. B.Ed. with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.

Candidates who are looking for admission to the course must apply for the CEE entrance exam which is conducted by RIE, Ajmer.

Key Points:

• Admission to M.Phil. ad M.Ed. programs is limited to the students from Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, UT of Andaman and Nicobar and West Bengal.
• There is a relaxation of 5% marks for reserved categories like Physically Handicapped SC/ST and OBC.
