Dr. SNS College of Education offers a 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program with several pedagogy subjects, viz. Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Computer Science, Economics, Commerce and Social Science.

Candidates holding a PG degree in the relevant or allied discipline with 50% marks (irrespective of UG marks) are eligible to apply for the B.Ed. program.
Those who have completed their Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology are evaluated on the basis of marks obtained in their Degree.
Applicants who have passed PG Degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Home Science/ Political Science/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Philosophy/ Logic/ Indian Culture without undergoing 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern of education are eligible for admission.
Those belonging to the Differently-Abled category are exempted from the minimum marks eligibility criteria.
The cost of application is Rs.300/- for Open Category (OC) candidates and Rs.175/- for SC/ ST candidates.
The counselling fee for Open Category (OC) candidates is Rs.2000/- and Rs.1000/- for reserved category candidates.

Dr. SNS College of Education Application Process

Dr. SNS College of Education fills its government quota seats for B.Ed. through counselling conducted by the Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University. For management quota seats, candidates are required to fill the application form at the institute level. The application process in details for the government quota seats is as follows:-

Candidates may visit the institute campus in person and collect the application form and prospectus from the fee counter.
It is mandatory for all candidates to fill all relevant columns. Incomplete applications are rejected without prior notice.
They are advised to fill their academic details accurately. Rounding off integers to the next number is not permitted.
Affix a passport size photograph on the application form and cross-sign it.
A copy of the passing certificate of the qualifying degree including photocopies of other relevant documents must be enclosed in separate sheets at the time of submitting the application form.
The application fee can be paid in cash at the time of submission of application form.
Applicants also have the flexibility to pay the application fee via demand draft drawn in favour of “Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University’ payable at Chennai.
Shortlisted candidates must attend counselling conducted by the University. Seats are allotted strictly on the basis of merit.

Dr. SNS College of Education offers a 4-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) degree program at the undergraduate level. The pedagogy subjects offered under the B.Ed. program include pedagogies of Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, History, Computer Science, Economics, Commerce and Social Science.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in the relevant or allied discipline from a recognized institute or university. Candidates are also required to meet a minimum marks eligibility criteria specified for each recognized category, which is as follows:

Key Points:

Candidates who have obtained their UG/ PG degree from an Open University without completing 10+2 years of School Education Examination are not eligible for admission.
Those who have passed under four years Dual Degree program with two major subjects under Part III is not eligible for admission.
Only applicants who have secured equal to or more than the stipulated minimum aggregate marks for their respective category are allowed to take admission in the B.Ed. program.
In case of an integrated program after 10+2, the qualifying degree should be not less than 5 years, i.e. 10+2+5 or 11+1+5 pattern.
