- Candidates with at least 45% marks in the Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with at least two school subjects at the graduation level are eligible for admission.
- Seats are reserved for ST / SC / OBC and physically-handicapped students. To clear the backlog of untrained teachers, some seats are also reserved for candidates who do not qualify on the basis of the marks obtained at the Bachelor’s Degree, but who have three years of teaching experience.
