1. B.Sc. degree from Bangalore University or any other equivalent university, in any life science subjects, with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for all optional subjects
2. Students who have passed B.Sc. Biotechnology/B.Sc. Biotechnology -integrated with minimum aggregate marks of 50%
3. Students who have passed B.Sc. honors in biotechnology, microbiology, botany, zoology or biology with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for all optional subject
4. Graduates from the following fields are also eligible(in the absence of the above criteria) with 50% marks in aggregate:
   • Bachelor of Agriculture
   • Bachelor of Dairy Science
   • Bachelor of Horticulture
   • Bachelor of Forestry
   • Bachelor of Fisheries
   • Bachelor of Pharmacy
   • Bachelor of Engineering/Biotechnology)
   • Bachelor of Medicine/Dental
   • Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering
   • Bachelor of Clinical Lab techniques
