JD Women’s College in Bihar is a constituent unit of Magadh University. It was established in the year 1971 exclusively to cater to the needs of women education in the state.
The college offers UG courses in Computer, Arts, Management and Science and PG courses in Computer, Managements and Arts.
The college also offers Intermediate courses for HSC pass students, Add-on courses and Community College courses are also provided by the College.

JD Women’s college offers UG courses in BA (Hons), BCA, B. Sc, BBM, and EEM. In PG courses, it offers MA (Hons). Intermediate courses Intermediate in Arts (IA) and Intermediate in Science (I.Sc) for 12th pass students are also provided.
Candidates applying for MA (Hons) must have done graduation with 55%.For all other courses percentage criteria in qualifying examination is 50%
For SC/ST 5% relaxation in percentage criteria is provided.

Candidates are provided admission based on the merit list prepared on the basis of marks of the candidates in Graduation.
Candidates who have done bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks are eligible to apply. Candidates waiting their final year result are also eligible to apply, provided they produce necessary documents at the time of interview.
Selection of candidates for MBA course is done on the basis of the marks obtained in the All India Management Entrance Exam CMAT. Scores of MAT/CAT/XAT are also accepted. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of the scores are called for GD and Interview (Both are of 25 marks each).
In MCA course, the admissions are done on the basis of entrance examination JDMCACET conducted at JD Women’s college by the college itself. On the basis of written test score, candidates are called for GD and Interview.

The final merit list for selection will be formulated taking into account the performance of entrance exam, Group Discussion and Interview together. Weightage for all three in the final merit list is 80% of written and 10% each for GD and Interview.
Candidates should fill the online application form for the desired course at the college website. After filling the application form, the candidate has to send the application form along with the required enclosures (Passing certificate of the qualifying examination, Mark sheet of 10th, Caste Certificate for Age Proof).
For MBA and MCA courses, the candidate has to send the application form along with the enclosure and DD of Rs 1000/- drawn in favour of “Principal of JD Women’s College, Patna”. Fees can also be paid by means of Bank Challan. The name of the course should be written on top of the envelope.
