Established in 1983, the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad is a leading autonomous and not-for-profit management institute located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. EDII has been set up by apex financial institutions – the IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., and the State Bank of India (SBI) under the aegis of the Government of Gujarat. EDII has been recognized by the UGC and AIU, and is approved by the AICTE and NBA. The Government of Gujarat pledged 23 acres of land on which stands the majestic and sprawling EDII campus. It has also been recognized as the ‘Center of Excellence’ by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.
EDII Ahmedabad offers a total of three courses - PGDM Entrepreneurship, PGDM Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development, and Fellow Programme in Management( FPM). For PGDM shortlisting, Candidates are selected based on CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/ GMAT scores and performance in the PI round. EDII PGDM programs encourage students to get into entrepreneurship roles and launch their own ventures. More than 25 startups launched by EDII students have already carved a niche and are leading their business organizations offering jobs to many others. Very few students at EDII participate in the placement process although 45-50 companies line up to make offers to the EDII students. So far, EDII has trained over 1000 entrepreneur trainers, motivators, 600 NGO functionaries for creating micro-enterprises, and over 1500 teachers teaching entrepreneurship courses in colleges and universities in India and abroad.

EDII Ahmedabad provides several top-notch failities to its students. Given below are the details of EDII Ahmedabad facilities:
- Residential Hall /Hostel: EDII Ahmedabad has two residential halls with 30 double occupancy and air-conditioned rooms. Also, it has separate boys and girls hostels. The boys hostel is named Aawaas and has a capacity of 60 students with AC rooms, while the girls hostel is named Narmada and has a capacity of 30 students with AC rooms as well. The EDII Ahmedabad Hostel rooms are double-sharing rooms. Alongside, there’s also an international center at the institute with 80 single occupancy AC rooms with WiFi facility.
- Sports: The institute has several courts for sports like Volley Ball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Foot Ball, Basket Ball, Badminton, and also has a well-equipped Gymnasium.
- Auditorium: EDII has a big auditorium with a seating capacity of 402 guests. The auditorium is WiFi-enabled and Air-Conditioned, and has various facilities like an HD projector, advanced audio-visual arrangement with line-array system and acoustic set-up, and green rooms.
- Computer Centers: The Institute’s computer centres are equipped with state-of-art technology, keeping pace with the diverse educational, training and research endeavours. Adopting a user friendly attitude, the centres continually update software inventory and complement the latest training technologies used in programs. There are 3 computer centers with a seating capacity of 70, 45, and 30.
- Library: EDII Ahmedabad library has a specialized collection of books & journals in entrepreneurship & related areas, and is equipped with fire fighting measures. It also has a digital library with subscriptions to various online journals, books and databases, digitized institute’s repository. Also, there’s an MSME library which is supported by Ministry of MSME, GoI. It has accessibility to printed journals, smart technology for content accessibility, technology driven reading area, and research block equipped with various research resources
