Centre for Economic and Social Studies, is funded by the state government and is dedicated towards research works related to social studies. The institution has been recognized as a center of advanced research and has been contributing significantly to the field of economics and social studies since establishment. The Campus offers a unique teaching cum research opportunity for the trainee’s here. These are for M.Phil and Ph.D. studies. 1. Research:
The main purpose of Centre for Economic and Social Studies is research and activities related to the same are currently in progress. Some of the fields which are under research are Human development report, Indigenous environmental development and sustainable development, Young lives, End line survey of children, National Rural Employment, SHIVA project, State business relations, etc. These activities are funded by various organizations and happen in groups.
2. Publications:
Centre for Economic and Social Studies has very talented and excellent, knowledgeable students working on projects and has contributed to various journal and other publications in the past years. Watershed management, Political economy of watershed management, Managing water resources, India’s development, etc., are few of the publications that have been contributed by the institution. The institution has also won many awards and recognitions in the past years.
