Thakur College of Science and Commerce is an autonomous college in Mumbai, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, UGC, and NAAC. Thakur College of Science and Commerce is at 55th rank in Best Autonomous Private Colleges in India as per the Education World Report April 2020. However, the college has 15th rank in Maharashtra and secures 13th rank in Mumbai among the Best Private Autonomous Colleges.
TCSC offers Undergraduate courses as well as Post Graduate Courses in various disciplines from the field of Arts, Science and Commerce.

TCSC B.Sc. Eligibility Criteria
The candidate shall have passed HSC examination in Science stream conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent degree from other boards.
Computer Science
- Candidates shall have passed H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and have secured not less than 40% marks in aggregate with Mathematics or Statistics as one of Subject.
Information Technology
- The candidate shall have passed H.S.C. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of reserved category candidate)
- Students who have passed a diploma in Computer Eng. / Computer Science / Computer Technology / IT / Electronics / Allied branches, diploma in Computer Eng. / Computer Science / Computer Technology will be eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Sc. IT.
Biotechnology
A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the three-year integrated course leading to the B.Sc. (Biotechnology) degree course must have passed the H.S.C. (Std. XII) examination in Science conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent in Science Stream.
Aviation
- A candidate for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Aviation) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education. Pune or an examination of any other Government recognized board as equivalent thereto, with the subject English, Physics and Mathematics
- A Candidate who has passed post-SSC, Three-year Engineering / Technology /diploma course with Mathematics and Physics.
- A candidate is required to successfully carry out a Class II MEDICAL EXAMINATION before commencing flying training.
- For CPL Holders, valid current CPL with class I medical certificate from DGCA Medical centers.
