TCSC Admission 2024: Merit List, Dates, Courses, Eligibility

The Thakur College of Science and Commerce offers 3 years Undergraduate program in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with 5 specializations.

The seat intake for each specialization of B.Sc. is given below:

Note- A 5% relaxation in the minimum eligibility is provided for candidates from reservation background as per the government norms.

TCSC B.Sc. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate shall have passed HSC examination in Science stream conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent degree from other boards.

Computer Science

• Candidates shall have passed H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and have secured not less than 40% marks in aggregate with Mathematics or Statistics as one of Subject.

Information Technology

• The candidate shall have passed H.S.C. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of reserved category candidate) 
• Students who have passed a diploma in Computer Eng. / Computer Science / Computer Technology / IT / Electronics / Allied branches, diploma in Computer Eng. / Computer Science / Computer Technology will be eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Sc. IT.

Biotechnology

A Candidate for being eligible for admission to the three-year integrated course leading to the B.Sc. (Biotechnology) degree course must have passed the H.S.C. (Std. XII) examination in Science conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent in Science Stream.

Aviation

• A candidate for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Aviation) must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education. Pune or an examination of any other Government recognized board as equivalent thereto, with the subject English, Physics and Mathematics
• A Candidate who has passed post-SSC, Three-year Engineering / Technology /diploma course with Mathematics and Physics.
• A candidate is required to successfully carry out a Class II MEDICAL EXAMINATION before commencing flying training.
• For CPL Holders, valid current CPL with class I medical certificate from DGCA Medical centers.

Selection Criteria

Selection in B.Sc. at Thakur College of Science and Commerce is done based on the merit of class 12

The B.Com and BA course of the college has a duration of 3 years.

TCSC B.Com & BA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for being eligible for admission to the three-year integrated course leading to the Degree of BA and B.Com shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Academic or Vocational Stream) conducted by different Divisional Boards of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or an Examinations of any another University or Body Recognized as equivalent thereof by the Senate of the University of Mumbai by 50%

Selection Criteria

Selection in BA, B.Com, B.Sc. at Thakur College of Science and Commerce is done based on the merit of class 12.

Thakur College of Science and Commerce offers 3 years Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)

For the B.M.S program, 50% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Hindi Speaking Linguistic Minority and the other 50% will be selected based on scores in the Centralised Common Entrance Examination (CCEE) of the Mumbai University.

TCSC BMM & BMS Eligibility Criteria

A candidate for being eligible for admission to both the BMM & BMS course must have passed the H.S.C (XII Std.) examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent thereto.

TCSC BMM & BMS Selection Criteria

• BMM selections are done based on the merit of class 12
• 50% of the candidates for BMS will be selected based on scores in the Centralised Common Entrance Examination (CCEE) of the Mumbai University and the other 50% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Hindi Speaking Linguistic Minority and the other.

The Thakur College offers Post Graduate course in Master of Science with 4 specializations as follows-

1. Organic Chemistry
2. Inorganic Chemistry
3. Information Technology
4. Computer Science

Thakur College also offers a Master of Commerce with a specialization in E-Commerce. The course has a duration of 2 years.

TCSC PG Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc.-

• Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field of study with a pass or 50% is the minimum eligibility of M.Sc. at TCSC.
• However, a relaxation of 5% is offered in the minimum eligibility marks for candidates from reservation backgrounds.

M.Com-

The candidate shall have passed B.Com Examination from this University or any other university recognized by UGC and secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate at the first attempt.

Selection in M.Com & M.Sc. Thakur College of Science and Commerce is done based on the merit of graduation degree in relevant fields.
