Admissions to the courses offered in this college are conducted on the basis of Merit as well as a number Entrance Examinations. Applications can be submitted both Online and Offline at Madras School of Economics.
- The integrated 5 year year program leading to MA Economics is entrance based, that is scores obtained in 10+2 exams and CUCET for admissions.
- Admission to MA in various divisions of Economics is also based on scores in CUCET. Including scores obtained in the undergraduate degree.
- There is also a PG Diploma course offered in two areas for students facing technically challenging jobs. Admission is based on entrance scores of GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT.
- Ph.D. is offered based on scores in CUCET or UGC-NET or JRF. The students must have a valid master’s degree as well.
Madras School of Economics is affiliated to the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN). The college is approved by AICTE, MHRD, Government of India to run these programs.
The college placements for the 2019 batch saw 116 students getting recruited by well known companies. The highest CTC offered was INR 16.5 LPA, while the average was INR 9.7 LPA.
Maximum students, around 30% of the total recruitment was under the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance Sector (BFSI).
