Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce & Economics is considered as one of oldest educational institutions located in the city of Mumbai. It is accredited ‘A’ Grade by NAAC and has affiliation with Mumbai University.

LLRCCE offers undergraduate courses in B.Com, BMS, BMM, BAF, BBI and B.Sc (IT); post graduate course of M.Com. At research level the college offers Ph.D in Commerce. The admission norms and eligibility are as per the norms established by Mumbai University.

Students interested in pursuing bachelor’s degree courses will be admitted solely on merit as per marks obtained in class 12^th qualifying examination.
To be eligible they should’ve completed their class 12^th in any stream by securing minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
M.Com admissions are also conducted on merit and require B.Com/BMS degree or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Those interested in applying for Ph.D course must appear in Ph.D Entrance Test conducted by Mumbai University followed by selection through personal interview.
The eligibility for Ph.D is master’s degree in a relevant subject from Mumbai University or any other recognized University.
Application to the college will be invited once the advertisement is floated on website and daily newspapers. Candidates may purchase the application directly from the college office during working days my remitting the fee through cash.
They may also submit the Mumbai University application form in the college and appear for admission as per merit list.
In case of Ph.D, candidates are required to collect the application form from college on cash payment and submit the same personally.

LLRCCE, Mumbai UG Admissions 2023

At under graduate level the college offers courses in Bachelor’s of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor’s of Mass Media, B.Sc in Information Technology and B.Com (offered in three specialisations). Admissions to these courses will be done strictly on merit of qualifying examination in class 12^th.

For candidates interested in research studies, the college offers Ph.D programme in Commerce and related specializations. The selection of candidates will be based on PET 2019 scores and performance in personal interview.

To apply for the programme, candidates must have obtained Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university. Also, those candidates who have passed Master’s Degree by Research or M.Phil degree of Mumbai University or any other recognized University are eligible too. Teachers having minimum two years full time teaching experience can apply as well.

Any candidates seeking admissions into LLRCCE will obtain application form from the office during working hours after official notification. Candidates may also fill-up Mumbai University application form and submit the same by following the given steps:

Log on to the Online Admission Portal of Mumbai University and click on the link for “Pre- Admission Online Registration”.
Proceed to “Apply Online”, enter mandatory details and complete the form to “Register”.
A verification code and a link will be sent on the mobile number provided by the applicant.
Log in with the verification code, fill in given particulars of the online application form and attach a recent passport size coloured photograph as per the requirement.
During the process candidates must pay the registration fee of Rs. 150/- through a DD drawn in favour of “The Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai” payable at Mumbai.
Submit the print of application form along with necessary documents in the college.

Ph.D Application Form

Application form can be obtained from the college office between 10.00 A.M. and 05.00 P.M. on all working days. The application fee of Rs.100/- has to be remitted through cash.
