Anil Surendra Modi School of Commerce at NMIMS Mumbai started offering an M.Sc in Finance quite recently. Here are some of the things that you should know about the course.

The course structure is very good and is at par with JBIMS as well.
The college does not have its own hostels. So campus life is virtually zero. But that’s the kind of norm at Mumbai colleges.
Faculty will always be a mixed bag at any school/college. While some may be excellent some may not be so good.
The course fee is around INR 3 lakhs per year which is not cheap by any standard.
It has an intake of only 30 students which has its own advantages and disadvantages.

The placement data are not shared by the institute. So do not expect a salary in the league of the MBAs. Also do not compare it with other top commerce colleges such as DSE.

ASMSOC Admissions

Admission for the undergraduate program is done on the basis of merit. This merit evaluation is done on the basis of NMIMS-NPAT scores, a test conducted by NMIMS. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview round over email/Call. Performance during the interview round and past academic records will be considered for creating the merit list for the candidates. Candidates in the merit list need to complete the admission fee payment and confirm their seat acceptance.

Candidates seeking admission must visit the official website of the institute and register themselves for admission. Enter your personal, academic, and professional details and upload the necessary documents. Students will also be required to pay an application fee of INR 1,800 through net banking/ credit or debit card.

NMIMS-NPAT Entrance Exam

NMIMS NPAT (NMIMS Programs After 12th) is the authorized entrance exam which will be conducted from April 1, 2022 – June 10, 2022 through computer-based mode. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for NMIMS NPAT requires a candidate to have passed class XII with 50% marks. Candidates who are still in 10+2 can also apply for the exam. It is necessary to fulfill NMIMS NPAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria laid down by the NMIMS University before applying for the entrance exam.

NPAT Admit Card
Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from the official website of NMIMS NPAT 2022 exam. They have to enter the ID and password to get the admit card. The authority doesn’t send any call letters to candidates through post or any other physical means. NMIMS NPAT 2022 Admit Card is available to download one week before the exam. It is published in the second week of May.

NPAT Exam Paper I Pattern
There are only multiple-choice questions in the exam. No special type of questions are there.

A total of 120 questions makes up the paper I.
NMIMS NPAT Exam Pattern is divided into three sections.
They are- Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning & General Intelligence and Proficiency in the English Language.
There are 40 questions in each section.
The medium of the NMIMS NPAT paper is English.

NPAT Exam Paper-II Pattern
There is a Paper-II for students taking admission into B.Design.

It has three sections- Spatial Ability and Visualization Skills, Observation & Problem Solving and General Awareness & Design Sensibility.
There is a total of 60 questions, each section contains 20 problems.
90 Minutes are given to solve the paper.
