The St. Joseph Engineering College is a private college recognised by AICTE, New Delhi has been established in the year 2002. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka State. The college is NBA accredited. The college has a great campus spread across 35 acres.

Candidates have to appear for an entrance examination to become eligible for admission. For B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA, candidates have to appear for COMED - K, GATE and KMAT/PGCET respectively. Candidates can apply online through college’s official website by downloading the application form and prospectus and submit at the college campus. How to apply?
For B.E:
- Candidates have to appear for the Under Graduate Entrance Test (UGET) - conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).
- This can be done by registering at the official website of COMEDK to appear in the counselling.
- The candidate has to fill the application form by filling personal and academic details in the application and pay the prescribed fees. The login and password will be provided on the official website, and according to time slot candidate has to appear for the examination.
- COMEDK authority will conduct single window counselling based on the ranking in the entrance examination.

- 85% attendance is compulsory
- It is necessary to score a minimum of 40% to pass in any subject in the semester examination.

- The students are required to wear college Identity Card on all college working days. Failure to wear the college identity card will be treated as misconduct and such students will be barred from entering the campus and class.
