About Silicon University
Silicon University, Bhubaneawar is a private institution and was established in 2001 under the affiliation of Utkal University. Then in the year 2002, the institution came under the affiliation of Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The University is recognized by the Odisha Government and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Silicon University, Bhubaneawar ranked in the band 151-300 for Innovation by NIRF 2023 and was categorized under ‘Band-Performer’ in the category of ‘Private or Self-Financed College/Institutes (Technical)’ in ARIIA 2021. The Institute is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC).
For the overall excellence in Academic, Research & Development and Innovation in Technical Education, the college was awarded as the best engineering college in the Odisha state by ISTE for the year of 2018. It offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various specializations. Admission to the courses is done on the basis of marks secured in national level entrance examinations like JEE Main, GATE, PGAT.
The institute offers career development programs for the students to face the corporate world. Industry-certified courses, Training by industry professionals and Preparatory classes for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are some of the programs offered to the students at SU Bhubaneswar.

Silicon University Bhubaneswar Admissions
Admissions to the Silicon University are done through the counseling conducted by the Odisha Government based on the entrance examinations merits. Admissions for the first year B. Tech. courses are carried out based on the JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination). Students are admitted based on the marks they secure in this exam. Similarly, second-year or lateral entry students are admitted based on the marks they secure in OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination).
