Government College, Jhajjar was established in 1959. This college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand Univesity (MDU). The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India has also recognized it under sections 2f and 12 B of the U.G.C. act. And provides grants for developmental purposes. The college provides education for Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (Medical, Non-Medical, and Computer Science), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), Bachelor of Business Management (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), and Post Graduate Courses in English, Hindi, Mathematics, Commerce, Computer Science and P.G. Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication.
