The 2023 Karnataka PGCET round 1 cutoff rank for the Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Machine Design) at SIET was 5181 for the GM category. While In 2022 the cutoff rank was 3519 .

The institute also offers a two-year full-time Masters in Technology (M.Tech.) program in various disciplines of Engineering and two-year full-time MBA program.
Candidates must hold a UG Degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. For M.Tech, Bachelors’ degree in relevant discipline is necessary. After getting shortlisted candidates must participate in the further selection rounds such as Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Selection for the M.Tech program is based on merit from the marks scored from GATE entrance exam. Admission to the program is based on state-level (KMAT) or CAT exam.
