RGIPT BTech Admission 2024: Dates, Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Seats

RGIPT BTech admissions are based on JEE Advanced 2022 exam score. The authority has set a new date for the exam, i.e, August 28. Interested candidates are required to register themseleves for the exam from August 7-11. The admit cards for download will be made availale from August 23 to 28. To appear for the JEE Advanced exam, candidates are required to qualify for the JEE Main 2022. The examination is to be held in two sessions, i.e., June and July. JEE Main 2022 session 1 will be conducted from June 23-29. Session 2 exam will be conducted from July 24-30. RGIPT (Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology) offers B.Tech, M.Tech, BSc- MSc integrated, PhD and MBA courses. The institute provides 4 year B.Tech Program in 2 specializations which include Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering.

RGIPT provides 60 seats in both the specializations. Candidates must have a valid JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination) score for admission to the course.

• Selection of the candidates will depend solely on JEE Advanced rank. No entrance examination shall take place.

RGIPT B.Tech Key Highlights

• The institute offers the B.Tech Programme in 6 main specializations at the UG level which include Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. 
• RGIPT provides 270 seats in the B.Tech program and the minimum duration of the program is 4 years comprising 8 semesters.
• RGIPT charges a total fee of INR 8.38 lakhs for its B.Tech program. 
• Also, the institute has been ranked at the 167th position out of 300 in NIRF India Rankings 2021 for B.Tech.
• Placement sessions are also conducted every year for the B.Tech students at the RGIPT campus. A B.Tech graduate can easily grab an average salary package of INR 9 LPA.

RGIPT B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria for admission to RGIPT B.Tech program

• Candidates must have passed class 12^th with 60% minimum aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH will get a relaxation of 5% marks.
• Candidates must have a valid JEE Advanced score. Any candidate without valid JEE Advanced score will not get selected.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply

RGIPT B.Tech Admission 2024

Candidates will be selected based on their rank in JEE Advanced. Selected candidates will be called for RGIPT counselling process. Candidates will be required to attend the counselling in person and they have to submit the original documents for verification of their age, academic qualification, category etc. After then, candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank and will be asked to complete the admission formalities.

RGIPT B.Tech Application Process

Application form can only be filled online. Step wise RGIPT application form filling process is mentioned below

1. Visit RGIPT official website i.e. www.rgipt.ac.in
2. Candidates must fill their personal details i.e. name, DOB, mobile number and e- mail ID.
3. After filling the details candidates must proceed for the fee submission process.
4. Application fee for General and OBC category candidates is INR 1000 and for SC/ST/PH it is INR 500. Application Fee can be paid in online as well as in offline mode.
5. Applicants can submit online fee through credit card, debit card and net banking.
6. Offline application fee can be submitted through SBI bank challan.
7. After fee submission process, candidates can proceed towards online registration process.
8. Aspirants must fill their personal details, educational qualifications and details regarding JEE advanced rank and score.
9. Candidates must also upload their photograph (less than 50 kb in JPG format) and signatures (less than 20 kb in JPG format).
10. Preview all the details after filling the application form
11. Candidates will get an email and SMS in case of successful payment and form submission.
12. Take printout of the application form
13. The printout of online application form duly signed along with demand draft/details of online payment and necessary enclosures must reach at the following address before the last date.

RGIPT B.Tech Course Details

• The course curriculum of the B.Tech program at RGIPT is structured into 8 semesters across 4 years i.e. 2 semesters are covered in each year.
• The courses in the B.Tech program follow an L-T-P methodology for each semester and the pedagogy of the program is a blended mixture of theoretical and practical based learning.
• All the theory and practical subjects of the B.Tech program consist of course credits that are required to be completed by the student to get a degree.
• The evaluation system of the B.Tech program is based on internal and external assessments, mid-term and end-term examinations, comprehensive viva voce, etc.
• However, each semester of the program consists of various subjects/courses, projects, electives, seminars, workshops, and practical work.
