RP Inderaprastha Institute of Technology (RPIIT) Karnal Admissions 2023: MBA Admission, Important Dates

At the UG level, the college offers offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (lateral entry) for a duration of four years and three years respectively. Both the programs are offered in various specializations such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering.

• Admission in B.Tech Lateral is done on the basis of mark scored in Diploma in relevant discipline.
• Further, the eligible candidates will have to appear in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE main) conducted by the CBSE.

In order to seek admission in B.Tech program, a candidate must have successfully completed his / her 10+2 level or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

Key Points:

• Candidates must have passed in the 10+2 level examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• The minimum required marks in the qualifying examination is 45% in aggregate.
• A relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria will be given to the candidates belonging to SC and ST categories for the B.Tech programme.
• For the B.Tech lateral course, candidates must have passed a three year’s diploma in the relevant discipline and secured at least 45% marks in aggregate.
• A relaxation of 3.25% marks in the eligibility criteria will be given to the candidates belonging to SC and ST categories for B.Tech lateral course.
• A valid score card in JEE Main examination is mandatory to apply for B.Tech.

At Postgraduate level, RPIIT offers Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in various specializations such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The courses are offered for a duration of two years.

Candidates who have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in B.Tech / M.Sc are eligible to participate in M.Tech admission process. However, selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks scored in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). 

Key Points:

• Candidates must hold a recognized B.E. or B.Tech degree in the relevant branch of Engineering.
• Candidates holding a recognized M.Sc degree in relevant stream are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying degree examination.
• A valid GATE score card is mandatory for all candidates.

Along with B.Tech and M.Tech programs, the college also offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at UG level and Master of Business Administration (MBA) at PG level. BBA and MBA program are offered for a duration of three years and two years respectively.

Candidate must have studied and passed 10+2 level in order to seek admission in BBA program. However, the admission is given to the candidates on the basis of marks scored in last qualifying examination, i.e, 10+2 level.

Admission to MBA program is given on the basis of marks obtained in Common Admission Test (CAT) or Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) or Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT). However, candidates found not fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be eliminated from the admission process.

Key Points:

• For BBA, candidates must have to pass in the 10+2 level examination.
• For MBA, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Post-graduate Degree in any discipline.
• The minimum required marks in the qualifying degree examination is 50%.
• A relaxation of 5% marks in the eligibility criteria will be given to the candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.
• For MBA, candidates holding a higher CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT percentile of marks will be given preference.
