About RCPIT

RC Patel Institute of Technology Shirpur, was established in the year 2001. It was founded by the President of SES trust and SVKM, and Chancellor of NMIMS University. The institute has a strength of 500+students. RCPIT offers Btech in some of the major fields such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science and so on. It also offers Btech courses in data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning and PhD in Computer Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The highest salary package for 2021-2022 was approximately 19.14 LPA. RCPIT also offers certification courses and foreign language training in Japanese and German. RCPIT Admission Process 2023

Admission to RCPIT is done through online mode. Candidates willing to take admission in first and second year are admitted through Centralized Admission process (CAP). Candidates can follow the steps below for admissions.

How to Apply?

Candidates firstly need to register themselves for the MHT CET exam and obtain non-zero marks in the same.
Candidates can register themselves online through the official website of CET cell.mahacet.org.
Students must also mandatorily register in ARC to participate in the central entry process. Students can register for the same online through the ARC website.
Students who have qualified JEE Main are also eligible for the counselling.

If the seats remain vacant after the CAP round the seats are filled on merit basis, the schedule for which is updated on the official website of RCPIT.

RCPIT Placements

Placements in RCPIT go on for an entire academic year. Their training and placement cell frequently organizes programs/training for students to educate and spread awareness amongst students of the upcoming and emerging areas/tools/skills in the industry. Due to their continued efforts and hard work many of the RCPIT students have been able to bag offers in the world renowned companies such as TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Cummins, Infosys and so on. The institute started placements in 2005 and has since placed over 600 students.

In 2021-2022 alone over 700 students have been placed from the campus. Moreover, the placements are still going on and are awaiting results from a few companies. Companies like Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, DTDC, Reliance Jio and many more visited the campus. RCPIT Facilities

RCPIT is stretched across 7.5 acres, is a wide and large campus and includes two boys and four girls hostel amongst other modern facilities. The institute houses AC and ICT based classrooms, virtual classrooms, hi-tech labs, recreational and health care services, research centers, innovation and technology cell, with a high-speed running internet. The management keeps the campus facilities upgraded with the latest technologies. Additionally, the facilities are highly qualified and hardworking that march their students towards success.

The institute pays special attention to nurture the students and build up on their concepts of Science and Mathematics. For this at the beginning of the year a Foundation Bridge Course is organized for the students. Additionally, RCPIT organized several national and international symposiums and workshops, certification courses, employability development programs to upgrade students' soft and technical skills.

Ques. Why should I join RCPIT?

Ans. Owing to the exemplary infrastructure, impeccable placement record and a major highlight on the student’s overall development makes RCPIT one of the good universities in the country. It has also become a pinnacle in educating the economically low-income groups, tribal areas or upgrading the education level of rural areas in Maharashtra. Also, as of 2022 it has been ranked 32 by India Today amongst the colleges in Maharashtra.

Ques. How is the Campus life of RCPIT?

Ans. The institute also conducts national and state-level workshops for its students and teaching staff in coordination with IIT Mumbai and ISTRO. Students' social activities are conducted under a separate division called SAKSHAM. Student’s attendance is of utmost importance in the institute and is conveyed to their parents via SMS. They are also intimated regarding their academics and every department also organizes a parent-teacher to discuss the same.

Ques. Are there any foreign language courses/training at RCPIT?

Ans. RPCIT offers language training in English, Japanese and German. Students are also prepared for International Certifications including ALTE and JLPT. The institute pays a keen attention on the personality development of students. They also have purchased a well-known software called Lingua phone and have prepared an advanced language lab. The institute also has ties with training agencies to train students for GRE, CAT, and TOEFL along with improving English speaking skills.

Ques. What is the cut-off required for the GOPENS category in MHT-CET for admission in Btech Computer Engineering Course?

Ans. The cut-off for MHT-CET for Btech computer engineering is between 80 to 79 for GOPENS category students. There are usually 1-2 rounds for filling the seats. However, the number of rounds is subject to seat availability. The total seat intake for the course is 180. The filling of seats is done through CAP and vacant seats are then filled on merit-basis.

What Students Say?

Ya...its good experiencing here. Practicals are nicely taken. RCPIT is one of the best colleges in Maharashtra. It has a very well-maintained infrastructure.
College doesnt provide internships, but they approach the students for internships. They encourage students to do internships and guide them on what to do or how to approach internships, etc. Additionally, many training and placement activities are also attended in the institute, such as aptitude tests or seminars.
College has a very good placement record, and almost 80 percent of the students from my batch were placed.
Every student is the best applicant for job opportunities, and every best company comes every year.
The biggest campus ever in North Maharashtra, the labs are awesome at R.C. Patel College. The sports activities are also good, and the sports teacher has good knowledge about all sports.
The institute has the best hostel facilities. The security level and meal basis are excellent. The hostel is well furnished and also provides a generator and water boiler for bathing purposes. A separate ladies hostel is also available.
I will give good remarks because they try to provide the best to their students.

Dislike

I think they should now look up to it and provide internships to students. Yet, they force students to get internships for themselves as three internships are mandatory for each student

To get eligible in RC Patel one should have completed a diploma or 12th course. If you are diploma completed you can get admission to directly second year and for 12th completed you will get admission to first year. College Fees were 60,000 per year.
