Gobardanga Hindu College was established in 1947 and is affiliated to West Bengal State University. It was awarded 'A' grade by NAAC and declared as a "5 Star University" by UGC.

Eligibility Criteria
For applying for an honours course at least 50% aggregate score and fulfillment of the given conditions is necessary:
- 45% score in the related subject OR
- 55% in both aggregate score and related subject OR
- 50% aggregate if the related subject wasn't taken up by the student
However, if there is time lapse of 3 years after the completion of the qualifying exam, the student is not eligible for admission.
Gobardanga Hindu College Application Process
Before applying for this college, the student must register themselves on the college website.
- The student must enter his/her mobile number, blood group, qualifying examination registration and roll number and scanned copy of photograph.
- Once this is done, the student will receive an Application number and Security pin via SMS on the given mobile number.
- Using these credentials, the student login anytime by clicking the Existing Application option.
- After this, the student can select the subject of his/her preference.
- Only if the selection criteria matches for the subject chosen, the student can go on adding the required subjects.
- Select the Payment (INR 200/- for each course and extra INR 50/- for each extra combination) option for the registration done.
- Once the payment is processed, no modifications will be allowed.
