Key Points for Admission:
- 5% of the Government seats will be reserved horizontally in favor of the Kannada medium candidates who have studied ten full academic years in Kannada medium.
- Relaxation of 5% marks in the percentage criteria of the qualifying examination is given to reserved category candidates.

KNS Institute of Technology Reservation 2023
- 5% of the seats in each B.E. discipline are reserved under Supernumerary Quota. All candidates including General Merit are eligible for allotment of seats under Supernumerary quota provided annual income of the family from all the sources is less than INR 6 Lakhs.
- 15% and 5% of the Government seats will be reserved horizontally in favour of rural candidates and Kannada medium candidates respectively.
- Additionally reservation is also given under Defence, Sports, NCC, Anglo- Indian, Handicapped quota.
- Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/CS/Electronics or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
- In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/other backward classes, the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examinations.
