B. Tech/B.E admissions are based on the merit in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) governed by the Education Department of Tamil Nadu.
TNEA rank list is released on the basis of marks in 10+2 (PCM).
Candidate must have scored 50% or above (45% for OBC, 40 % for SC/ST) in 10+2 from a recognized board.
In the case of Lateral Entry, the candidates must have a Diploma or B.Sc. in the relevant stream.
For M. E admission, 50% or above (45% for OBC/SC/ST) in B. Tech or equivalent courses is a must.
In the case of M.E, MBA and MCA programs, TANCET score is mandatory.
Apart from the TANCET score for M.E, preference is also given to the GATE qualified candidates.
