Bose Institute, Kolkata is an autonomous research institution established in 1917, by Sir J.C Bose, the founder of modern science in Indian Subcontinent. Being Asia’s first research centre devoted to interdisciplinary research, the institute offers Ph.D. programs in various interdisciplinary specializations. Moreover, the institute has also an integrated M.Sc. – Ph.D. program, admission to which is based on entrance exam scores.
Besides, academics the institute also conducts workshops and seminars so give the students an exposure in their respective fields. The institute has also a summer training programme for outstanding students in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Chemical Sciences for a period of two months.
