The basic eligibility criteria for the course is mentioned as follows:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any of the following subjects Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical or Vocational subjects and have obatined at least 50% marks (45% for Backward Classes).

- Atharva College of Engineering provides admission to students based on the score in MHT CET or JEE Main.
- Candidates from Maharastra are required to take the state level exam MHT CET. Non-Maharashtra candidates can take admission through JEE Main score.
- The final selection will be done on the basis of DTE Maharashtra counselling.
