Every college is good in one or the other aspects. Its location, faculty, and infrastructure are the main factors that determine a college's priority. The following list contains the colleges in order of priority based on their pros and cons.
Pros:
BHU: No requirement to sign a bond
Seth GS: Located in Mumbai with the best academic structure
KGMU Lucknow: The location and academic structure are perfect.
Other AIIMS: No need to sign any bond and the fee structure is affordable. AIIMS tag can help you with USMLE purposes.
Cons:
BHU: Located in Varanasi, it lacks the facilities of metropolitan cities like Delhi and Mumbai
Seth GS: Mumbai is expensive and a bond of 1 year needs to be signed
CMC Vellore: You will have to learn Tamil as it is located South India. The fee structure is pretty expensive.
Other AIIMS: They are usually not located in a good location except for Bhopal and Bhubaneswar.
The preferred order as per the pros and cons can be - BHU> AIIMS> KGMU> Grant> Seth GS> CMC Vellore
One college can be good for you but bad for others. This is because your own needs determine which college is best for you. So choose wisely.
It is widely held that the Mumbai work structure is extremely beneficial and makes you more confident and open.
GSMC has a bond, so you must work for a year after graduation, whereas AIIMS does not have a bond. As one of the most prominent leading institutes in Maharashtra, GSMC has excellent technical infrastructure. It has a higher patient flow, which is very important. It also has more advanced clinical departments. The faculty is an incredible and enthusiastic supporter. It is affiliated with other BMC colleges, giving you more opportunities, and it is also affiliated with prestigious institutions such as Tata Memorial and Wadia Hospital.
AIIMS Raipur is a good choice because of the AIIMS brand, infrastructure, and smaller batch size, but GSMC is still suggested.
Based on the opinions within the medical community, I will provide some information on these colleges-
I don’t know much about GMC Patiala and GMCH Chandigarh, so I won’t comment on these two.
Make sure to choose a college with hardworking students. Good company will motivate you to study harder and excel in your field. Food and language barriers aren’t much of a problem in the long run.
I will try to answer this query as per my limited knowledge.
As for GMC, its teaching standards have declined. The classes aren’t as rich as in previous times. Even the study culture isn’t as good now. Only the brand name remains. Because of this, GSMC is currently much better ranked than GMC. So if you are from Lucknow, choose KGMU over GMC Mumbai. MBBS is quite stressful, and homely support does a lot for mental health.
Both GSMC and KGMU are good medical colleges. Choosing between these is a bit difficult. Research on the condition of PG reservation at Maharashtra colleges, and Provincial Health Services (PHS) rule in UP. This will help you make a better decision.
Both GSMC Mumbai and KGMU are excellent choices.Choose between the two based on various factors that I have listed above.
