The full range of approaches to history, from political and economic through social and intellectual, finds representation in The Department supervises doctoral research in a variety of areas of specialization. Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must hold an honours BA in history or in history and another subject, with at least a B+ standing from a recognized university.
- Students should have at least a B+ average (equivalent to a McMaster 8.5 GPA out of 12).
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree from a recognized university.
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, if students have given the GRE then it is recommended to submit the scores (minimum 300) for a better chance of admission.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
