  • The Bachelor of Arts, Major in English program focuses on the diverse kinds of literature of the English-speaking world, including the full range of British, Canadian, and American literary traditions, diasporic literature and literature in translation, oral and written Aboriginal narratives, and classic and contemporary film.
  • This degree will allow students to develop the knowledge, core competencies, and skills characteristic of a traditional Bachelor of Arts program, while preparing them to respond critically and creatively to a wide range of issues and challenges in the college community and society in general.
  • In addition to critical reading, writing, and thinking skills, students who complete a Bachelor of Arts in English will be prepared for entry into the labor market by incorporating essential employability skills into all of our courses.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility: 

  • Students must have an official secondary school transcript to get admission.
  • Students are required to maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must require one of the following:

  • Indian Senior School Certificate (ISC)
  • Intermediate Certificate
  • Higher School Certificate
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or All India Senior School Certificate

Language Requirments:

  • Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores. 
  • Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
