The UVic School of Music offers a unique, two-year experience to prepare you for a variety of musical professions, from performance and music technology to research scholarship and arts administration.
This program gives students integrative training in music technology.
This program combines composition, performance, and computer technology.
It is directed at students who come from diverse musical backgrounds, who will be at the forefront of the creation and creative use of music technology in the 21st century.
Students' research is supported by close mentorship by the program's faculty, the School's three digital music studios, and the Fine Arts Studio for Integrated Media (SIM).
The M.Mus program consists of a minimum of 39 units.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Students must have a B.Mus or BA in music or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
A grade point average of 6.0/9.0 (B+) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.

Indian Student Eligibility:

Students must complete a B.Mus or BA in music or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
