Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academics

  • Completed the equivalent of a Canadian Bachelor's degree (generally in a non-business discipline) from an academic institution recognized by the University of Victoria
  • Have earned the equivalent of a "B" average over the last two years (or equivalent of 30 UVic units) of your degree. If you do not have a "B" average, you may be admitted as a mature student, provided you have four years of relevant professional experience after completing your undergraduate degree
  • International students must meet the Minimum requirements from other countries as set out by the Faculty of Graduate Studies

English Language Proficiency

  • international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.

  • A Student VISA is an immigration document that allows students to live and study in Canada.

  • Whether students also need an Entry Visa depends on their country of citizenship.
  • The Temporary Resident Visa (Entry Visa) is a stamp placed on their passport that allows them to enter Canada.
  • In most cases, students Entry Visa will have the same expiry date as their Student VISA.
  • A Student VISA is usually valid for the length of the student’s study program, plus an extra 90 days. 
  • The cost of the Student VISA is 112 USD.
  • The students need these documents to apply for a Student VISA:
    • Proof of acceptance i.e The offer letter that the student received from the university.
    • Proof of identity 
    • Proof of financial support i.e Documents showing the financial status.
