Canadian colleges were much less expensive than in the USA. UBC has had great alumni and amazing professors in the past (some Nobel prize winners). Along with the amazing learning opportunities and financial reasons, the university's student life and the quality of life in Vancouver played a huge role in helping me decide that this was the uni wraith for me.
Course Curriculum
I love my course. It has been updated to the needs of today and the teaching style is very modern.
Exams
In my application, I had to submit an SOP, 2 LORs, and fill in the application on the UBC page. I highlighted my extracurriculars and the relevance of the degree I plan to pursue with regard to my career plans. In my SOP, I wrote about how my extracurricular hobbies and passions have shaped me as an individual and how that would make me a better fit for the universities. I took my LOR's from my high school teachers and asked them to talk about my capabilities as a student. No, I didn't have any other rounds.

Faculty
So far, 2 of my favorite professors were Robert Gateman for Economics: his teaching approach is very unique and effective as he focuses on teaching us everything we need to know in the classroom. Another professor that I loved was my Poli 100 professor, Chris Erickson, who held a very interesting course and I really enjoyed going to his lectures. He was interesting and funny and knowledgeable.
Hostel
Yes, I lived in a single connection in which I shared the bathroom with one other person but had my own room. the cost was around 12000CAD. We had a residence canteen and had a meal plan. It was a great accommodation for my first year.
