The co-op opportunities with certain companies such as the banks that had been hiring from Sheridan for a while encouraged me to apply here because of the chance of having a co-op with one of those companies.
Course Curriculum
It's okay as far as content goes, however, there are quite a few useless courses that just waste our time and teach us nothing useful for our future careers. Such as the art of technical communication course in the first semester as it's completely pointless for our major.
Exams
I took the IELTS exam to apply to this college and no other exam was necessary for me to apply since I had my transcripts.
Internship
It offers co-ops, however, I haven't taken one yet as they start after the second years second semester and I only finished the first year so far. So I can take it only after I finish another semester of 4 months.
Fees
Right now the college fees are a weird in Ontario as things are changing. However, it is too expensive for international students and it should be fairer.
Scholarship
I was awarded $500 Canadian dollars for having a GPA of 3.95 in the first semester. International students with 3.95 to 4.00 GPA get this reward.
Examination Structure
Depending on the class, there may be a midterm and final. Or 3 exams. So far only two courses had three exams and that was not a problem for any of us and it helped divide the topics as well. Some exams are on paper and some are interactive online.
Faculty
The faculty is good. There are really good professors that know what they're doing and teach well.
