I wasn't sure what path I wanted to go into and this program allows me to explore different options. This college is also close enough to my house for me to commute since I did not want to live on residence.
Course Curriculum
It covers many different areas and topics and does not avoid any sensitive issues (aboriginal peoples in Canada). I appreciate the wide range of subjects that are mandatory (psychology, Canadian diversity, philosophy, etc.).
Fees
There are two fees per year (one for each semester) as well as an optional medical plan and an 'additional school fee', although I don't believe it is mandatory to pay anymore due to the new policy our government put in place.
Examination Structure
It differs in each different class. For some I have two exams (midterm and final) worth 25-30% each, for other courses I have unit tests throughout the semester worth about 15% each. Most of my exams are multiple choice, but I?ve had two that were comprised of short answer and essay questions.
Faculty
Most of my professors are highly knowledgeable and teach in a way that is both informative and interesting. Some even teach at a university as well which is helpful as this program is designed to help students transition into university.
