The course and location were perfect. Fees were within my budget, plus I'd read of co-op chances and a slew of additional perks.

Exams

For me, the process of applying to the university was bit different. What i did was, as I was in Canada before, so to get into college what I did was, submit a few forms, do IELTS, which everyone does. They were looking for a person who is having a good IELTS score. And they did our interview, you have to go through a valid interview, and if you qualify that interview, you go through the process, like they have their ambassadors in India as well. So, you go through them, and they help you out.

It?s pretty good

Internship

For applying to a co-op, Ontario Tech requires us to have minimum of 2.0 GPA. I did an internship in a toronto based insurance company as a marketing analyst, which was this summer. It was really good, and if i get graduate, I might apply there.

I am really satisfied with the teachers. They way they transitioned at the times of covid. We were having online exams, but it felt like to me that we were sitting in a classroom giving exam. They developed such a system that everyone was aware of the environment. Professors are really friendly as well, like if you go and ask something, they will give you a time slot, you can just have a chat and ask them.

Campus Life

If i talk about Ontario Tech specifically, its not that old for a university. Canadian universities are like old, but Ontario Teach was established around 20 years ago. They have the latest equipment. If i talk about amenities, there are gymnasium, there is a walk-in clinic on the campus, ice center, soccer center, etc. There is fresh week, which is like orientation week, which has concerts and all. we have more than 110 clubs. For extra curriculars, we can go for night-out in the city. The campus nearby is having a lot of amenities, food, gas station, etc.

The place i was staying in, it was a 6 bedroom hall kitchen kind of apartment. I had people from different nationalities- India, Nepal, Philippines, and Bangladesh. There is a grad house, which is a much more posh apartment which charges around C$800 per month. The one where i stayed, they used to charge C$ 470-480 per month. Finding houses is not that difficult.
