Rahul Review at University Of Toronto [U OF T], Toronto | Collegedunia

My Canada Experience

I chose this this college because this college was located at the center of Canada and I want to explore Canada as well as this university is one of the best in Canada that's why I chose this college.

Course Curriculum :

The course is more practical based rather than theoretical aspect and extracurricular activities are also required at the same time.

Exams :

For admission in this college, I had to first write IELTS examination in which I had to score a minimum of 6.5 band score and then after submitting various documents No I didn't had to submit any SoP or LoR as I have te citizenship of Canada so it was not required for me .

Placement :

There is a lot of opportunities available to us after completing this program and research facilities are also very good here.

Internship :

No I haven't done any internship till now. In my subject it is like we have to the course for 3 years and then internship in the final year to gain some practical experience. But we can do internships anytime, in final year its compulsory. The university helps in finding internship , they ask for our resume and then they help us.

Fees :

I got the scholarship around $3000 in my first year so I had to pay around $12-18000 but the fees is different for international students.

Scholarship :

Yes I got scholarship based on my class 11 and 12 score.

Faculty :

In the first year, everything was online and now in the second year, there is only one subject that is offline and rest everything is online . We are hoping that in the next semester it will be offline for everything. There are 40 students in my department.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of facilities and opportunities provided for us like we have free gymnasium we can travel anywhere for free which is not offered by other universities and there are various other facilities available like sports , library , etc. There are various activities which happening online as well as offline

Hostel :

I was living in a student accommodation. Because I live in Brampton, Ontario and the university was located in Waterloo, Ontario. So, it was an hour and 10-15 minutes drive and didn?t make any sense for me driving every day. So, I was accommodated there. The student accommodation is great. Laurier is wonderful when it comes to the residence that they offer to their students. The first year is related to the campus and beyond as well. They do a really good job in helping their students securing comfortable residence that fits the budget, suits the needs as well. The private ones was $700-$750 a month.
