I had choosen 3 colleges that I had heard about from other students and friends in Canada, from those GBC sounded more interesting, their connections and location made sure I could like the place. Also the course was more detailed in what I wanted to do compared to the other colleges.
Course Curriculum :
We were the first batch with the pandemic. It was relatively a new of learning but certain updates were surely require. We missed on the industrial exposure due to COVID and I am yet looking for my experience in my field
Exams :
This was back in 2019, but apart from College scores and IELTS my work experience played an important role
Placement :
Sports and Events are affected due to COVID. Most placements that we were presented with were into Digital Makerting.
Internship :
Most international students do not get paid opportunities which is the sad part about the co-ops. Biggers brands might pay but they hardly have placements for a large group
Fees :
16573
Scholarship :
No, just applied for the covid bursary.
Faculty :
At the first semester we had 20 students in one batch and 40 in another. By second semester we had all 60 in as one batch. A few professors were not up to the mark based on the reputation of college.
Campus Life :
Never experience due to COVID. Everything was online and for the first semester I was learning from my home country
Hostel :
Living in Toronto can be expensive specially in downtown. College accommodations are also quite expensive and hence I have seen students living in remote places and traveling with public transport for college (when they had to). Downtown rents can usually start from $800 for a single room (if you share it with someone then your cost goes down). Suburbs just room can cost around $500
