I have done a bachelor's in information technology from the sal College of engineering which is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In Ahmedabad, I visited the IDP career education fair where I got to know about Fanshawe College. Then I decided to apply to Fanshawe College for this particular course. Nowadays internet security is a main concern worldwide. My interest in networking architecture and security management lead me to apply to Fanshawe. I have also applied to the University of Windsor and University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
Course Curriculum :
Faculty at Fanshawe college is really good. They are very experienced professionals who are in teaching industries for the last 10 years. Some of them are security professionals.
Exams :
I have given the IELTS exam from British council center Ahmedabad. I have done coaching from the Canam academy. Initially, I got overall 6 bands but that was not enough for me to get admission at Fanshawe. So, I started IELTS coaching again and after doing 2 months of practice I have given the IELTS exam and got overall 7 bands out of 9.
Placement :
The placement opportunities at Fanshawe is really high. Fanshawe has its own employment service. Where they help every students to get the job of their field. The percentage of getting a job from the placement cell is very high. The companies offer average pay of around $25-$30 per hour.
Internship :
Yes, Fanshawe does offer an on-campus job. Like cleaning, web development, photography as well as in the dining area. They also have internship opportunities. The average working hour for these jobs is 20-25 hrs per week. And to get this job a one need to apply for OSWP form after that we can apply for this job.
Fees :
The fee structure for one pg course of 8 months would be around $15000-$16000. They also offer fee structure in two installments. There are some scholarships also available to students. In every starting of a new intake, these scholarships are available for every student. The amount of these scholarships are different.
Hostel :
I'm living in an apartment with two of my friends. The on-campus residence is expensive compared to of campus residence. We are three people who rented one apartment near Fanshawe college. Its 1bhk apartment which costs us $275 each per month without any furniture in the whole apartment.
