The program was one of the best in the world for English literature. It was also close to my parents' house so I didn't have to pay for school and living expenses. I also choose a university because it looks better on my resume than a college.
Course Curriculum
I loved it. I was able to take as many courses as I wanted and I didn't have many restrictions on topics. I was able to study what I was interested in. The teachers were very intelligent and had a lot of knowledge to pass on.
Exams
We don't have scoring similar to that in Canada so I don't have an overall score to share.
Placement
They didn't specifically help me with this and I did have to rely on my network to find a job post-grad but I find it's a great degree to apply to almost anything you do for your career. It is very versatile.
Internship
No, it does not. I wasn't applicable to apply for any of the grant programs available since I was living at home and my parents supported my income. Also, most of the program funding is in the science faculty.
Events
I didn't celebrate any events in my collage. I skipped the student orientation when I first joined and didn't want to join any clubs. I did attend my graduation ceremony but that was the only time. I wasn't very interested in the events.
Fees
I had to pay a placeholder fee of 200 dollars and then would pay per course. It was about $6000 a year and books another $1200. I found it super annoying that I couldn't opt out of paying for the bus pass or health fees.
Scholarship
No, I have not gotten any financial aid. My parents paid for all of my schoolings so this wasn't an issue for me.
Examination Structure
I loved it. I had to write an essay and were often given the questions beforehand. I was able to prepare and come into class with what I was planning to write with no surprises the day of. It was a bit challenging to write 2 essays in the period but it was good.
Faculty
Best faculty at the U of A just because of the quality of the teachers. I do wish it was a larger faculty but they still offered a lot. Of course I found it interesting.
Hostel
I didn't live in a residence I lived at home with my parents. The residence was too expensive and it was much cheaper to live at home. Also, the residence was had to get into and you had to apply ahead of time to get in.
