Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- The student must have completed 30 university transfer credits from an accredited university.
- Any 3 credit ENGL university-transferable course is required.
- University-transferable courses of 27 credits (non-social work courses) are required.
- Students must have a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.33 scale.
- The student must be a High school graduate and 60% in the final year while applying for admission.
- A minimum of 60% in Senior Secondary Education.
- A minimum of 17 years of age by the end of the first month of the first year in this program.
- One short course of BC secondary school graduation
- General Arts and Humanities courses and Lifespan Human Development class courses are to be completed before entering this program.
Work Experience:
- 100 hours of voluntary or paid work experience in the field of Human Services is required before entering this program.

Examples of acceptable volunteer hours in the human services field can be Addiction treatment centers, Aboriginal agencies, Immigration services, Adoption services, Victim services, Residential programs, etc.
Language Requirements:
- The students must be able to understand and fluently speak the language of instruction (English) in the program. Proof of linguistic proficiency may be required.
- The students whose official language is not English must submit the English Language Proficiency scores like IELTS or TOEFL.
- If the student does not meet the language requirements they can take English Language Learning and Acquisition (ELLA) program and complete it and pursue this program.
