  • This two-year Ontario College Diploma prepares students to survey, monitor and control radiation exposure in the nuclear industry and natural environments and implement preventive measures that are critical to ensuring the safety of employees, members of the public and the environment.
  • Students develop their knowledge of national and international regulatory frameworks with a focus on compliance within radiation protection procedures.
  • Students quantify and qualify radiation hazards in order to provide control, guidance and information to personnel that minimize radiation exposure and control contamination.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent) with  60% or higher.
  • Mathematics, Grade 12 (MAP4C equivalent) with a minimum grade of 65%.
  • Physics, Grade 12 (SPH4C or equivalent) with a grade of 65% or higher OR Chemistry, Grade 11 or 12 with a grade of 65% or higher.
  • Applicants with international transcripts must provide proof of the subject-specific requirements noted above and may be required to provide proof of language proficiency.
