I am a professional with over 14 years of diverse experience across the Education Industry, BPO, and Financial Services. I am currently working with Yorkville University as Recruitment Manager, South Asia. I have previously worked at other Universities across Canada, USA, and in India with experience in Sales, Marketing and Recruitment.

At Yorkville University, we have niche programs focusing on building the skill set of the students with practical hands-on learning to prepare them for the workforce. Any student can take up our Undergraduate degree programs after finishing Grade 12/ High School or equivalent. The Instructional Design Team brings expertise from different parts of the organization to drive the quality of courses and learning materials
Essentially, we work with Instructional Design Specialists. They are responsible to build, with the support from course leads, and program curriculum managers, new programs, and courses. The Academic staff is responsible to support curriculum development, conduct course reviews, and make recommendations to changes in the curriculum that help YU remain at the forefront of high-quality courses that help students understand the business concepts and principles as it relates to the many industries.
These practices are exemplified by the many professors at YU who bring industry experiences to complement the academic content, through Experiential Learning style (EXL) delivery.
Our curriculum not only ensures best practices in the industry but stands out through the structure of the program, where students are able to have more direct learning engagement and relationships with their professors.

My focus area revolves around assessing the Asian market and picking up the best bunch of students for our university
My key responsibilities in this role involve driving admissions from the South Asia market including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, as well as exploring Business Development opportunities from various sources like Agent Networking, Student referrals, Direct marketing, and Internet-Digital marketing.

Yorkville University has launched a new initiative to help students in India begin their classes worry-free: introducing the Head Start Program
This innovative, one-of-its-kind program in Canada will allow Indian students to start their studies online while they apply for their study permit. If the student's study permit is refused, Yorkville University will offer a full refund (less the non-refundable YU administrative fee). It is available for July 2020 and October 2020 start dates, the Head Start Program is meant to help students move forward with their lives, without worrying about the financial risk of a study permit refusal.

Intakes would be as per the plan as we have our programs available for online teaching. Students can start the program online, from the ease of their home, save on the living expenses, Transfer to Canada, Study on Campus any time before term 5 or before. They can then complete more than half of their program on campus, Graduate, and apply for the PGWP for up to 3 years.
