Eligibility & Entry Requirement
International Students Eligibility:
- Successful completion of the Global Assessment Certificate with a GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale or
- International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Successful completion of a recognized Bachelor's degree equivalent to an Australian degree.
Language Requirments:
- The students whose official language is not English are required to submit the TOEFL or IELTS exam scores.
- The English language proficiency test must be no more than two years old at the time of your commencement at Western Sydney University.
Language Requirement Exemption:
- If the student’s first language is English or if the student can provide satisfactory evidence that English was the medium of instruction in their secondary or tertiary studies they may be considered as meeting the requirement of proficiency in English and they are exempted from submitting the scores.

- Before the student comes to study in Australia, the student must obtain a student visa from the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA).
- Student visas can only be granted for courses that are registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions for Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).
- The student may not require a student visa to study in Australia if the student holds another visa (other temporary visas) that allows the student to enter and stay in Australia with no restrictions on the study.
- The student must be 6 years or older.
- The student can stay for the duration of the course.
- The student must be enrolled in a full-time course at a recognized educational institution.

If the student needs to provide evidence of their English language skill, they must provide evidence that they:
- Have obtained a certain test score in an English language test that the Department has approved.or
- Showing the proof that the student is from a country where English is an official language.
- The student must be of good character to visit or live in Australia. This means the student must pass the character test, and remain of good character.
- If the student is applying for a student visa and is under 18 years of age, then the student must have adequate welfare arrangements in place while the student is in Australia.
- The student might have to have health examinations to prove you meet the health requirement.
- The results of your examinations will be assessed by a Medical Officer of the Commonwealth (MOC).
