Applied linguistics is primarily concerned with how knowledge about language is applied to real-world issues. Key focus areas include the role of language in communication, the acquisition of first and subsequent languages, cross-cultural communication and language teaching. This internationally relevant course will develop your analytic skills and understanding of the complex relationship between language use and context.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Entry into most postgraduate degrees requires students to have successfully completed a bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. They may also need to have achieved a specific Weighted Average Mark (WAM) or undertaken work experience. Their admissions team will determine whether their qualifications and prior experience meet the entry requirements and is also likely to satisfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement for a Student Visa.
