This course prepares students for a dynamic career in agriculture as they develop core skills in science, chemistry, and biology while pursuing a major of your choice in Animal Science, Animal Health, or Crop and Pasture Science. Students will build the knowledge and skills they need to meet their career or study goals. Students will learn:

  • The role of agricultural science in society
  • Analytical and technical skills needed to solve agricultural problems
  • Principles of animal and human ethics
  • How to apply agricultural knowledge in global and regional contexts
  • How to collaborate with scientific specialists within and outside agricultural sciences

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

For admission into Murdoch, students must be able to provide evidence of competency in the English language. This is usually achieved through one of the following:

  • A scaled score of 50% or more in ATAR English, English Literature or English as a Second Language (or interstate equivalent).
  • Successful completion of a University enabling course (e.g., OnTrack, FlexiTrack).
  • A score of 140 or more in the Written English component of the STAT test
  • Successful completion of either a Diploma (AQF Level 5 or higher) OR two University-level units (AQF Level 7 or higher).
