I don't have an IT background and this course is for non-IT background students too. Plus, the industry connections are really good at RMIT. The course is more practical based than theory based which is ideal for me.

Course Curriculum

10

As mentioned before, the course is practically based rather than being all theory or the majority of it being theory. This gives me all the hands-on experience of the programs I need for being industry ready.

Exams

I gave my TOEFL and I did my Bachelor's in Commerce, got 115 TOEFL and scored an A in my University exams.

Internship

Yes it does provide internship. However, since I'm in my first year, haven't yet applied for it. But I hear it is really good. Big names from the industry have tieups with the uni and the stipend is also more than sufficient.

Events

10

We start with the Welcome Day, after which there is a Clubs Week and regular free lunches and breakfasts by the Student Union. There are loads of events hosted by respective clubs. You get plenty of opportunities to mingle with classmates or like minded people.

Fees

You have semesterwise fees along with other charges like student amenities fees. There are a few add-on charges for clubs but these are charged by the clubs and not the University.

Scholarship

No, I haven't. Planning to apply for financial aid in the next semester. I have to make sure that my grades stay up.

Examination Structure

It is 50% based on assignments and the other 50% is via a written test. You get plenty of time and resources to complete your assignments and get ready for the tests. There are 2 assignments per semester.

Faculty

10

The faculty is really good. They are always ready to help. All you have to do is email or set a consultation session with them. They also have a lot of programs which help new students get ready for the course.

Hostel

10

I have taken an apartment on rent with a few other mates. We don't have on campus stay and the other common spaces are too expensive for me. I guess having a hostel type model would make sense but the rents should ideally be cheaper.
