I had a lot of counseling done and did a lot of research regarding the course I wanted to do and then I landed at the university of Adelaide.
Course Curriculum
The course curriculum is very vast with a lot more varied courses that you can study. You may also get an option to study courses from different department after consulting with the faculty advisors.
Exams
I took an IELTS exam and scored a total of 7.5. So you will require an ILETS score of 6.5 above and GPA of 6 above.
Placement
I am not very much eloquent with the placement system as I am in my first year of masters and also due to the pandemic the career fair that we were supposed to have got cancelled hence I lost my opportunity of being able to see what kind of companies come during that time. But most of the company listings are available at the career hub from companies like BHP, SA WATER, WSP and many more.
Events
The campus is filled with different opportunities. The clubs are really fun to be involved in. I am currently a part of the Adelaide University Rotaract club which has given me a chance to showcase most of my skills and has given me a variety of volunteering opportunities. Other than that we also have a good sports club with different sports from football to swimming, mountain climbing, scuba diving and many more.
Scholarship
Yes I did receive a scholarship of 15% reduction from tuition fee. The scholarship was given based on my GPA .
Faculty
The environmental engineering faculty are very helpful. The professors and tutors always provide with quick response to any of your doubts.
Hostel
I live in a shared apartment close to the university. The bus stop is very nearby and it is also surrounded with departmental stores, pharmacy and restaurants as well. The shared apartment costs about 150 AUD per week.
