TAFE Queensland is one of the most popular and successful vocational training institute offering over 90 undergraduate degrees, diplomas, and certificate courses. Known for its practical and industry-specific education, more than 90% of its students are satisfied with their experience at TAFE Queensland. It follows a semester-based intake and invites admission applications for its two semesters in December and May. Application closed one week before class start for onshore and English courses. For VET courses admission candidates can apply till December 1. Applications received after the deadlines will be considered for the next intake session.

Students planning to study in Australia can apply to TAFE Queensland via TAFE International Application or TAFE Agent. The university does not charge any application fees. Indian applicants need to have grade 10 from AISSC or ICSE or Grade 12 with a minimum of 70% in English and 65% in three subjects. Aspirants who do not meet the admission requirements can enrol on pathway programs. TAFE Queensland accepts only IELTS as proof of English language proficiency, however, the minimum score differs as per course.

TAFE Queensland Admission Deadlines

Students are required to submit their applications well in advance of the acceptance close date since applications received after deadlines will be considered for the next intake session. Onshore applicants are those international students who are currently living in Australia with a valid Visa permit whereas Offshore applicants are those who are currently living outside Australia and do not hold a visa.

TAFE Queensland International Students Admissions

TAFE Queensland receives thousands of applications from many countries like Korea, China, the United Kingdom, Japan, India, Hong Kong, France, Italy, and Malaysia. Country-Specific Requirements

For academic credentials given in some countries, there are country-specific documents required. Students must submit their educational certifications in accordance with the country's particular instructions. English Language Proficiency

International applicants whose first language is not English are required to demonstrate English Language Proficiency to study in Australia.  The score should not be older than two years. If you do not meet the English language entry requirements, you can enrol in a combined TAFE Queensland English Language Program (TQELP) and VET training study package where you can complete an English Language Program by TAFE before commencing your diploma or degree. TAFE Queensland requires the minimum scores as tabulated below.

International Students Visa Process

International applicants need to obtain an Australian student visa (Subclass 500) to be able to start their program in Australia. To apply for a visa, students need to fill out the application form on the Department of Home Affairs of Australia webpage. The following documents will be required to complete the visa process:

  • Acceptance Letter issued by the university- Confirmation of Enrolment
  • Application for health insurance
  • Proof of financial support
  • Parental Consent

TAFE Queensland Undergraduate Admissions

TAFE Queensland offers Bachelor’s Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates. Applicants must apply two weeks prior to the commencement of the programs. There are various routes such as pathways programs to get admitted to TAFE if one does not meet the following requirements. Candidates must submit and appear the required tests to fulfil the program admission criteria, along with necessary paperwork.

Admission to TAFE Queensland is easy. One may enrol themselves in a pathway program if academic admission requirements are not met.
