Cost, closeness to home, and science opportunities. They offered the most scholarships and the college is known for producing STEM majors with high success rates. I am also from the Portland area and wasn't looking to travel too far away from home.

Course Curriculum

8

I believe the courses I've taken so far have been good at giving me a basic understanding of each subject I've taken. I also believe some have gone into too much detail and I was tested on things I won't need to know in the future in some cases.

Exams

The SAT is the only test I have taken so far. I took it three times during my senior year of high school. UO did not require the ACT.

Placement

10

I've struggled to find job opportunities here. I look frequently for campus jobs but am not able to find one. The website was just remodeled for campus jobs and it's hard to learn how to navigate it.

Internship

Yes. I have an internship with Sports Nutrition and an internship with a research lab on the campus. I applied for these positions and interviewed for the spot. I have set schedules and am able to build my resume with things that'll help me succeed in the future.

Events

10

A lot of diverse events are celebrated here. The college is pretty liberal so many events related to gay/women's rights as well as sporting events are popular at the school. I think there are things for every type of person here.

Fees

There are fees for classes with labs and other things of the sort. I think the tuition is fair but a lot of people disagree.

Scholarship

Yes, I have a scholarship that covers my tuition resulting from FAFSA. I acquired the Pell grant which allows me to not pay tuition.

Examination Structure

Some are good and some are okay. Some of the wording on exams are difficult and you have to deeply analyze what it's actually asking you. Some are simple though it depends on the teacher and the course.

Faculty

8

I've had a lot of great teachers but also a couple that were insufficient.
