It was close to home. Also, their nursing program had great reviews and it was new. I wanted to be near home but far enough to enjoy the college experience. I'm able to visit my family every other weekend.
Course Curriculum
My curriculum is great. I love learning science and the body. I enjoy patient interaction and the nursing school does a great job of helping me improve. It's hard but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Exams
ACT. I also had to take a math entry exam to see what math class I would be able to skip and which I had to take.
Placement
With our clinicals, we are able to make connections. They will help us secure jobs when we graduate in 2020. Hopefully, a counselor will help me apply when the time comes or the teachers will help if we need it.
Internship
We have clinical not internships. I do believe the college itself does prove internship. In some majors, an internship is required to graduate. We have clinical in nursing school every semester to put learning to use.
Events
I've been super busy but I did participate in the Holi and Diwali festival. It was cool learning about other cultures and meeting new people. Diversity is important in college. I made friends from other cultures and they are amazing.
Fees
We have two payment methods. Either pay it all at once or do a payment plan divided up into 3 payments.
Examination Structure
Exams are computer-based and application based. They are hard. We have to select all that apply questions and if you don't get the whole thing correct you don't get any points for that question, no partial points.
Faculty
I loved my instructors but they are tough. They push us to do our best. Most of them are really helpful and want us to succeed.
