I love that it?s a small Christian school and they gave me a full scholarship. Going to a Christian school was very important to me. They also have a really great program and it felt like home when I visited.
Course Curriculum
Some of the courses aren't my favorite, but I feel like all of them have helped me in a lot of ways. Many courses build on each other so if they are a course I don't like I realize I needed it later on. It can be challenging.
Exams
I took the SAT and the ACT. I did not take any other standardized test.
Placement
I am a junior, so I am starting to look at career possibilities. Since my major is so broad I have a lot to narrow down. In my major, my professors are very helpful in helping students find jobs. Some professors are more helpful than others, but my friends that have graduated are in jobs that they love
Internship
My school provides on-campus jobs. Some can help towards future job experience or line up with your major, but they aren't called internships. They do connect students with people who aren't looking for student interns.
Events
We celebrate Reformation day because that is so important for Christians. Christmas is also a big deal. They do a lot of decorating and events then. We also celebrate at the beginning of the year with a hootenanny with live music and line dancing and a ton of fun stuff. AU student activities are awesome.
Fees
It depends on the classes you take. Some classes have sneaky fees of like $50, and some majors like science majors throw in extra fees in a lot of classes
Scholarship
I applied for the Denmark scholarship and was awarded in 3000. The rest of my scholarships were just given to me.
Examination Structure
Some are online multiple choice or essay. It depends on the class. One of my marketing classes doesn't even have tests. The lower level classes were mostly multiple choice but my upper-level classes have many more essay questions
Faculty
I love my professors. Now that I am only taking major level classes, I have the same handful of professors and they rotate. For my minor in marketing, I have different ones that I also love.
Hostel
During my first two years, I lived on campus. It was awesome. We had a ton of events and it was a great way to be connected on campus and meet friends. I now live off campus in a student apartment complex. It's my favorite but I did like living on campus.
