The beauty of the campus and an amazing program for my major. It was also far away from my hometown which was a huge goal for me. I visited the campus during my senior year in high school and absolutely fell in love. Everything draws you in from the modernized buildings to the friendly people on campus.
Course Curriculum
I absolutely love the curriculum minus the internship classes I have to take. It's absolutely amazing and the faculty are all helpful and have experience in my field. Without them, I wouldn't have really had a reason to come to Grand Valley.
Exams
I've had to take the SAT in high school which helped me get into the college of my dreams. I've also taken many exams at GVSU.
Fees
GVSU gets your FAFSA information and comes up with a planned formed that shows you the estimated amount needed for the academic year. They give you all the financial aid they can and you pay for whatever else isn't covered by the aid, loans, and grants.
Scholarship
I usually get a good chunk of financial aid due to my financial status. All you need to do is fill out your FAFSA and they give you an amount needed to be based on that.
Faculty
The faculty and staff on campus are usually quite helpful. They are all very knowledgeable and want to see you succeed. There are some rude professors though but that is at all campuses.
Hostel
I've found that living in on-campus apartments is very helpful because I don't have to worry about monthly rent and can focus on academics instead. I don't have to worry about whether I'm going to be able to eat, pay for rent, have a job, and get good grades in my classes.
