Florida State University, Psychology and hospitality

I am a legacy here and it offers a fantastic psychology and hospitality program which helps me to truly learn and study what I would like to do with my life. FSU has given me opportunity after opportunity to grow and change and ready myself for my future.

Course Curriculum

9

The curriculum for psychology is very stimulating and discusses not only the clinical research-based side of psychology but the actual implementation, the culture and history behind it, and more. Hospitality is very hands-on which I love, giving me the opportunity to apply for internships and connecting me with professors that know what they're talking about and have plenty of experience in their fields as well as connections and so on.

Exams

I took the SAT and the ACT as well as the Foreign language comprehension test here at the university.

Internship

The college itself provides a lot of opportunities but I have no personally experienced any internships here. I have worked for them however in the Honors College where I have received a stipend and training to teacher younger honours students about the university. This experience has been incredible for me and opened my eyes while preparing me for what I may want to do with my life.

Events

10

Many events are celebrated here at Florida State. Every football game is prefaced with a block party in our downtown area, often with concerts, and during the game, you are able to participate once chants and cheers with all of the student body. Other events include academic achievements which we celebrate with swearing-in ceremonies and ice cream parties with the president of the university.

Fees

Fees are like any other public college. Financial aid is always as helpful as they can be and work hard to ensure that we are getting the money we deserve. There is always a long wait but once you're speaking with someone they truly take care of you. My only complaint is with parking services, which take every chance they can to charge you for every little thing which is frustrating.

Examination Structure

Most of my exams personally have been multiple choice exams. My professors prepare my scrupulously before them so that I always feel like I know what I'm walking into. I have friends who are more stem and they have explained that they have more written exams than I do.
